Deviated Nasal Septum and Septoplasty

The septum is the middle part of your nose running between the left and right nasal passageways and can be seen from each nostril. If the nasal septum is bent, it can cause nasal blockage, difficulty breathing, snoring and sleep disturbance. We can easily diagnose this with an examination in clinic.

When the septum is deviated to one or both sides, a Septoplasty is recommended. This surgery is performed under general anaesthetic. The operation lasts between 45 minutes and an hour and you are able to go home the same day.
